SOCIETY OF WOMEN ENVIRONMENTAL PROFESSIONALS MASSACHUSETTS CHAPTER
Join the Society of Women Environmental Professionals, Massachusetts Chapter (SWEP-MA) for a crafting networking event in advance of the holiday season.
Join us on Monday December 1, 6:30-9 PM at Mystic Open Studio, 785 Mass Ave in Arlington. Enjoy tea, cookies and light snacks as you make a 6-inch mosaic tiled wooden tray to bring home. The cost for members is $40 and non-members are $55. Space is limited so sign up now.
The doors will open at 6:30. Following a quick introduction and safety review at 7PM, the instructor will leave us to work and socialize but will be available for assistance and questions. All supplies are included and you will go home with a kit for adding the grout after the glue has dried. This is a relaxing activity with very few instructions. Participants can make it as simple or complex as they like.
The time for the activity is estimated to be about 90 minutes, and you can take a break for some snacks and tea during the event in the studio's lounge area, just off to the side of the teaching area. We have the space for 2.5 hours so there will be plenty of time for socializing if you would like.
Event Timeing: 6:30 PM - Registration opens
6:30-7 PM - Snacks and Networking
7-8:30 PM - Intro, Crafting & Networking
8:30-9 PM - Optional Crafting & Networking
Free street parking is available on Mass Ave outside Mystic Open Studio or further down the street.
Note that the event doesn't include dinner but there are several restaurants and a Whole Foods nearby (including fast casual José's Torta Mexicana at 793 Mass Ave). Please let us know if you have food allergies.
